The Mystery Blog of San Joaquin Sisters in Crime





The purpose of Sisters in Crime is to "combat discrimination against women in the mystery field, educate publishers and the general public as to inequities in the treatment of female authors, raise the level of awareness of their contribution to the field, and promote the professional advancement of women who write mysteries."


The San Joaquin Sisters in Crime Chapter was born in January of 1995 when Karen Besecker gathered 19 women together at the Red Lobster in Fresno, CA to discuss starting a chapter of Sisters in Crime. Six of those 19 are still active members of this chapter'





 

The San Joaquin Sisters in Crime Chapter meets the first Saturday of the month.

Cost: Members - $15;  Non-members - $20
