This is a special day for San Joaquin Sisters in Crime.
Our speakers will be Catriona McPherson (President of Sisters in Crime National) and Simon Wood (Publicity Chair for Sisters in Crime National): A talk at 10:00 a.m. followed by lunch..
Lunch is free to members (one time only). $20 for guests.
The 10:00 program will be at Yosemite Falls Cafe,on Ashlan in Fresno, our usual place. Please try to arrive early.

GUEST SPEAKERS BIOS:
Catriona is the author of a series of preposterous mysteries set in Scotland in the 1920s and featuring the gently-born sleuth Dandy Gilver. The series has won a Macavity, two Left Coast Crime awards and an Agatha and are currently under option at the BBC. The latest is A DEADLY MEASURE OF BRIMSTONE.
She also writes a strand of slightly darker (not difficult) contemporary suspense. The first - AS SHE LEFT IT - was one of Kirkus’s top 20 mystery/thrillers of 2013, won the 2014 IndieFab Gold for mystery, was a finalist for and Anthony and a Left Coast Crime award. The follow up – THE DAY SHE DIED – was longlisted for the Kirkus Book Of The Year.
Catriona was born in Scotland in 1965 but moved to northern California in 2010. In previous lives, she worked as an incompetent bank clerk, a passable library assistant and a useless and miserable university professor but is now a full-time writer and the current president of Sisters in Crime.
Simon Wood is a California transplant from England. He's a former competitive racecar driver, a licensed pilot, an endurance cyclist and an occasional PI. He shares his world with his American wife, Julie. Their lives are dominated by a longhaired dachshund and four cats. He's the Anthony Award winning author of Working Stiffs, Accidents Waiting to Happen, Paying the Piper, Terminated, Asking For Trouble, We All Fall Down and the Aidy Westlake series.
